REIMBURSEMENT RESOURCE REP-ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time Reimbursement Resource Representative Accounts Receivable to join our Medical Billing/Business Services Team. We are looking for a new team member who is -positive, energetic, able to multi-task, and loves patient interaction. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience!

Full-time: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Hybrid Position: After 90 days on-site, eligible for 4 days remote and 1 day on-site

Not a fully remote position

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in insurance carrier appeals
• Athena EMR preferred

Our Reimbursement Resource Representative-Accounts Receivable is responsible for claim resolution and payment. The employee works insurance claims and patient accounts using department guidelines and MPG electronic systems. The position requires a thorough knowledge of insurance carrier billing and reimbursement, CPT, modifiers and fee schedule differences. Also requires understanding of how to decipher explanation of benefits and explain the impact to the customer. Position requires the ability to conduct both telephone and face to face meetings with patients regarding account resolution and payment collection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Accurately communicates and documents patient information for both pre and post visit data collection.
• Communicates trends/issues identified with processes, carriers or provider responses.
• Coordinates the completion of carrier attestation forms, supporting documentation or other documents are submitted to the specific carriers through established workflows in a timely manner post visit. This will allow MPG and our carriers to have the most current and accurate reflection of the patient's medical status and eliminate HCC Gaps due to un-submitted documentation.
• Utilizes daily schedules, carrier website, forms, fax/scanners etc. to complete daily tasks while maintaining HIPAA privacy restrictions.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in health care and insurance industry and thorough knowledge of insurance carrier billing and reimbursement, CPT, modifiers, and fee schedule differences required.

Required Skills and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. The individual will be required to perform venipuncture. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
