Hours : Monday-Friday, 0700-1700
Possible Saturdays : Based on project demand
Expected Workload : 50-60 hours per week
Project Scope :
This position supports a data center build in Temple, TX, with a primary focus on electrical installation and commissioning activities. The Site Safety Manager will oversee daily site safety operations, ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards, and lead proactive engagement with subcontractors to promote a zero-incident culture.
Key areas include :
- Providing on-site safety oversight during data center electrical installations
- Conducting daily field audits and hazard assessments
- Leading toolbox talks and pre-task planning meetings
- Enforcing Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety standards
- Collaborating with site leadership to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Qualifications :
Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferredDegree in Health & Safety with a minimum of 3 years of data / electrical experience orCHST certification with a minimum of 3 years of data / electrical experience orStrong understanding of electrical safety, NFPA 70E, and OSHA complianceExcellent communication and documentation skillsKey Responsibilities :
Perform daily site safety audits and inspectionsLead and document weekly safety meetingsIdentify and correct unsafe conditions through collaboration with field teamsReview and update Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)Support root-cause investigations and implement corrective actionsMaintain accurate safety logs, permits, and training recordsSkills :
Advanced knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and EM 385-1-1 complianceStrong leadership and interpersonal communication with trade partnersAbility to recognize hazards and implement preventive measuresProficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systemsKnowledge Base :
Comprehensive understanding of construction safety , electrical installation , and data center operations . Prior experience supporting data center or large-scale electrical projects is highly preferred.
