The Rave organization within Motorola Solutions develops SaaS products supporting the safety mission of public and private entities. We help customers engage with responders, households, schools, businesses, employees, students and other stakeholders to deliver critical communications, coordinate response, and exchange life-saving information. Our solutions apply technologies such as geospatial visualization and analytics, high throughput communications, artificial intelligence, and integrations with Motorola and partner systems. Job Description
Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Cybersecurity & Compliance Engineer to join the dynamic Rave organization. This role helps shape and uphold high standards of security and data privacy for our SaaS solutions, contributing to Motorola's mission of public safety.
You will drive internal compliance and mature our robust posture across standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, CCCS, TX-RAMP, and GovRAMP. You will collaborate with the Rave organization and broader Motorola Solutions teams to ensure our SaaS solutions meet and exceed regulatory requirements. You will leverage compliance expertise to support customer engagements in pre-sale and post-sale contexts. The role requires deep technical expertise in compliance and privacy, strong cross-functional communication, and a proactive approach to safeguarding data and building trust.
Your leadership and hands-on contributions will help keep our organization at the forefront of security and compliance, protecting sensitive data and building trust with customers.
What You'll Do
- Serve as Rave's security and compliance subject matter expert, supporting Product Management, Engineering, Technical Operations, Customer Support, and Sales. Provide guidance on controls, policies, and evidence, and support documentation across areas.
- Lead compliance activities across in-scope standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, CCCS, TX-RAMP, and GovRAMP, ensuring continuous compliance.
- Facilitate, monitor, and drive security and compliance activities, including audit preparation, coordinating 3rd party scans, system assessments, vulnerability scans, and security control implementation. Synthesize findings, present to engineering and tech ops teams, create remediation tickets, and recommend solutions to stay on track.
- Serve as Rave's ISMS Project Lead, overseeing site-level ISO 27001 certification and audit readiness across multiple SaaS platforms, ensuring documentation and evidence are provided and managing audits with internal SMEs as needed.
- Coordinate risk and privacy assessments, perform gap analyses, prioritize remediation, and lead engineering-facing security refinement reviews to proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance documents remain up-to-date, including system policies, procedures, controls, data maps, and customer documentation. Model efficiency in your own work and empower SMEs with content, tools, and direction to minimize effort.
- Rapidly fulfill security-related inquiries (RFPs, RFIs, customer data privacy and security questionnaires, due diligence requests).
- Monitor corporate security policies and tools, identifying opportunities to leverage corporate functions and assets to enhance Rave's security and efficiency.
- Stay informed of evolving assessment standards, industry trends, methodologies, and best practices through continuous learning and engagement with Motorola Solutions Security & Compliance peers.
What You'll Bring
Proficiency with common compliance and security software used for GRC, SAST, DAST, and SCA.Ability to rapidly establish relationships with critical stakeholders within Rave and other departments (e.g., Corporate Security and Legal) to achieve goals.Demonstrated knowledge of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, FERPA, PIPEDA) and ability to apply them in private-cloud and public-cloud environments.Demonstrated confidence and tact in independent client-facing interactions to represent Rave Compliance with senior stakeholders.A drive to continuously improve compliance activities and to adopt AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.The attitude and flexibility to balance compliance demands with business goals, removing barriers and simplifying processes to maximize value delivery.Bonus Points
Experience with industry-specific compliance programs such as HIPAA, FedRAMP, and GovRAMP.Experience supporting sales and customer-facing roles regarding Security and Compliance inquiries.Experience with AI / machine learning technologies is strongly preferred.Experience with AWS, Azure, and Private Cloud infrastructure.Experience with Software architecture.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or similar.Target Base Salary Range : $98,100 USD - $196,200 USD
Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the candidate.
