In this job, you'll be in the Controller's department within Southern California Edison's (SCE's) Finance Organizational Unit. You will learn all aspects of Property Accounting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing and monitoring populations of work orders, performing account reconciliations including identifying, investigating, and resolving invalid items within work orders and general ledgers, and data analysis. Responsibilities

Participates in all aspects of the month end close, including consolidation of subsidiaries, intercompany account reconciliations and foreign currency translations

Supports in the formulation of the budget and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses

Executes month-end and year-end close procedures such as reconciling accounts on the balance sheet

Provides financial status information by preparing special reports

Works directly with external / internal auditors and other departments

Verifies that vendor invoicing, inventory product pricing and counts are accurate

Takes note of necessary requirements, due dates and deadlines for arranging various financial reports

Compiles necessary financial reporting information as required by senior management regarding the preparation of monthly reports

Maintains a rigorous and well documented Sox and internal audit environment

A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

Three or more years of experience in general accounting.

Experience with interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or related field.

Experience performing account reconciliations and variance analysis

Proficient with SAP or similar enterprise software.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of regulated companies

Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with peers, clients, management, and other organizations.

Ability to work in a team setting and across functions / departments in analyzing information developing information and solutions.

Demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation skills, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to effectively handle stress and engage in continuous learning.

Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

Additional Information

This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.? Unless otherwise noted, employees are
