We're seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to oversee Quality Assurance at the plant level for multi-state distribution. You'll ensure the production of safe, high-quality products by implementing corporate quality assurance policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act.
- Implement corporate quality assurance programs to prevent quality or safety issues.
- Monitor finished product quality to meet corporate and customer specifications.
- Supervise the quality team and manage departmental spending.
- Develop skills of direct reports and plant employees.
- Ensure the plant is audit- and inspection-ready at all times.
- Provide support for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
- Lead Process Improvement initiatives.
- Develop complete HACCP and QACCP plans for the plant.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production-related problems.
- Stay current with industry, regulatory, and certifying agency guidelines.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5 years of management experience.
- 3+ years of quality experience, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience with a beverage, food, or liquid consumer products manufacturer.
- Effective negotiation skills with the ability to listen.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
- HACCP Certified, or ability to become certified upon hiring.
