Weare seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamicIT team. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be crucial inmaintaining and upgrading our IT infrastructure ensuring optimalperformance reliability and security.
KeyResponsibilities :
1. Install and Upgrade ServerComponents and Software :
Deploy and configureserver hardware and software components.
Conductregular upgrades and patch management to ensure system security andperformance.
2. Install and UpgradeNetworks :
Design implement and maintain networkinfrastructure.
Perform network upgrades andtroubleshoot connectivity issues.
3. ManageVirtual Servers :
Provision and manage virtualserver environments.
Monitor and optimizevirtual server performance.
4. Manage AutomationPlatform :
Oversee the automation platform thatintegrates with our core processing system.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for efficient systemoperations.
5. Troubleshoot Hardware and SoftwareErrors :
Diagnose and resolve hardware andsoftware issues.
Document problems resolutionsand impact assessments.
6. Provide Documentationand Technical Specifications :
Create technicaldocumentation and specifications for ITprojects.
Assist IT staff in planning andimplementing new IT infrastructure projects.
7.Data Protection and Disaster Recovery :
Implementbackup operations and disaster recoveryprocedures.
Ensure data protection failoverprocesses and storage planning.
8. CapacityPlanning and Database Performance :
Monitorsystem capacity and performance metrics.
Optimize database performance and conduct maintenancetasks.
9. Collaborate with Core OperationsTeam :
Coordinate upgrades to the core processingsystem.
Work closely with the Core Operationsteam on database maintenance.
10. EscalationPoint for Support :
Act as an escalation pointfor IT support efforts.
Resolve desktopapplications and equipment issues promptly.
11.Security and Endpoint Protection :
Implementaccess controls firewalls and endpoint protectionmeasures.
Ensure compliance with securitypolicies and procedures.
12. Training andKnowledge Sharing
Develop expertise in newtechnologies and train staff as needed.
Shareknowledge and best practices with teammembers.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology orrelated field.
Proven experience as anInfrastructure Engineer or similar role.
Strongknowledge of server hardware software and networkingtechnologies.
Experience with virtualizationtechnologies (e.g. VMware HyperV).
Proficiencyin scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) forautomation.
Familiarity with security protocolsand endpoint protection solutions.
Excellenttroubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a teamenvironment.
Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNAMCSA AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are aplus.
