Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Administrative & Customer Service Assistant to join our team in Lawrence, MA. This position serves as one of the first points of contact for visitors and callers, providing excellent customer service while supporting daily administrative and light accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and thrives in a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming calls across three phone lines with courtesy and professionalism
- Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and clients in person and by phone
- Provide general administrative support including data entry, document preparation, and filing
- Maintain organized alphabetical paper filing systems for accounting and office records
- Assist the accounting team by matching purchase orders to invoices and entering data into Peachtree / Sage (no check runs or journal entries required)
- Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices
- Support internal departments with clerical and communication needs as assigned
Qualifications
12 years of administrative or customer service experience in an office setting (government contracting environment a plus)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional phone etiquette and ability to manage multiple phone linesAttention to detail and solid organizational skillsBasic knowledge of Peachtree / Sage or other accounting software preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Why Join Us
