State and Local Tax Manager, Lead Tax Services

SALT Manager

Crowe's State and Local Tax (SALT) team delivers value by helping clients effectively navigate and manage their state and local income and franchise tax obligations. We are seeking a SALT Manager to join our Lead Tax Services group. In this role, you will provide both consulting and compliance services, while also contributing to the development and mentorship of staff. Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or JD / LLM a plus
• CPA or JD required
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting
• Strong state tax background, including experience with consolidated C corporations, partnerships, and S corporations
• Experience with state and local income tax compliance and consulting, including apportionment, state modifications, nexus considerations, unitary / combined reporting, and state-level tax planning
• Familiarity with state-level implications of mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and management skills, with proven experience leading teams and engagements
• Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex state tax issues clearly and effectively

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,500.00 - $201,000.00 per year.
