School Security Officer

Overview

Cardinal Point Security Group is building a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence.

Pay and Schedule

Pay Rate : $18.00 per hour.

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 11 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM. Schedule includes regular school hours plus after-school and occasional weekend events when required. This position follows the school calendar, with 2 months off during the summer.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Be a Cardinal Point Ambassador : Be on time. Look sharp in proper uniform. Be engaged. Be consistent
• Coach and mentor students
• Incident management and verbal de-escalation
• Maintains orderly flow of foot traffic in the hallways
• Monitors restrooms throughout the day
• Reports on maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel
• Walks up to 10,000 steps per day to patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
• Stands for up to four hours per day
• Acts as a first responder for emergencies
• Stands post at secondary locations as required
• Identifies and reports suspicious activity
• Completes daily activity reports and incident reports as required
• Cultivates positive relationships with staff and students
• Access control
• Monitors CCTV
