We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in New Hill, North Carolina. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in invoice processing and full-cycle accounts payable. The role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic accounting team.

Responsibilities :

• Accurately process invoices, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies.
• Perform full-cycle accounts payable duties, including three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
• Handle manual processes such as cutting and pasting PDF documents to facilitate invoice approvals.
• Manage check runs and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Utilize Great Plains Accounting software for invoice tracking and processing.
• Maintain organized records and files to support the accounting team's operations across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.
• Support accounting functions across six states and eight sites, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries.
• Assist with additional accounting tasks as required by the department.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Proficiency in Great Plains Accounting software.
• Strong understanding of invoice coding, processing, and full-cycle accounts payable.
• Ability to perform three-way match processes accurately and efficiently.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage manual processes and maintain detailed records.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with check runs and vendor communication.
