Project Manager Construction

Overview

Johnson-Laux Construction is a Commercial General Contractor with a client base of public and private entities, including airports, hospitals, colleges / universities, K-12 schools, cities, counties, parks, hospitality, military, and office facilities. We are seeking a very experienced Project Manager to join our North Carolina team. Candidates must possess knowledge and experience in both renovation and new construction projects, including military base construction and state / local government project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management duties from planning to closeout, including planning, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and document control.
• Develop and review project scope; conduct scope development meetings, OAC meetings, submittals, RFIs, and RCOs.
• Negotiate subcontracts and review subcontractor pay applications; manage vendor and owner pay app procurement.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and the public; communicate professionally and forecast project needs.
• Ensure excellent communication and customer service; stay organized and act as a proactive self-starter.
• Maintain all project management duties for renovation and new construction projects.
• Possess valid North Carolina driver license and pass criminal background check.
