About Our Client :

Our client is a growing healthcare organization dedicated to improving community wellness through compassionate patient care. They’re expanding their billing and collections team and are seeking a detail-oriented AR Specialist to support insurance follow-up and appeals processing within a collaborative, supportive environment.

Job Description :

The AR Specialist will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of claims follow-up, including investigating denials, submitting appeals, and ensuring timely reimbursement from commercial and Medicaid payors. This role offers hands-on training and growth potential as the organization continues to expand into new specialties and service areas.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work assigned payors to resolve outstanding claims, denials, and underpayments.
• Research and correct claim errors; resubmit or appeal as needed to ensure payment.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and maintain AR over 90 days within target thresholds.
• Review EOBs, verify claim status, and document actions taken in the system.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing or documentation issues.
• Utilize EMR and clearinghouse systems to track claim activity and denial trends.
