Major Responsibilities :
- Maintain a clean, safe environment conducive to patient care, applying aseptic techniques.
- Assist in preparing materials, supplies, and instruments for various procedures.
- Set up surgical rooms by moving and arranging equipment efficiently.
- Function as a Second Assistant during surgeries when needed.
- Ensure equipment and supply safety and resolve any issues promptly.
- Support patient transportation and positioning while adhering to safety protocols.
- Demonstrate age-appropriate care according to department standards.
Qualifications :
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on patient care.
Physical Requirements : Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods, with exposure to various medical hazards. All team members are required to wear appropriate protective gear.
