Overview
The Corporate People Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for driving the execution of the company's talent strategy and providing coaching on performance management, employee relations, succession planning, org design, compensation, and development for assigned business groups. Responsibilities
- Own employee relations matters for assigned business units, including decision making on disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues by analyzing evidence, applying laws and policies, and preparing written case summaries.
- Provide guidance on org design, org change proposals, job descriptions, and compensation, including the annual merit process.
- Lead the annual performance management review process (talent maps and check-ins) with consultative meetings with business leaders to enhance talent and drive the business forward.
- Partner with business groups to develop plans, performance improvement plans, and succession planning for current employees.
- Provide feedback on organizational training and development needs and collaborate with Learning & Development to deliver solutions.
- Conduct exit interviews for voluntary terminations, analyze trends, and contribute to a positive off-boarding experience.
- Assist with change management during operational transitions.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to promote internal hiring, career pathing, and succession planning; ensure a positive onboarding experience for new hires.
- Work with Communications & Employee Engagement on diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Uphold HR regulations and help maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (preferred in Human Resources, Business Management, Communications, IO Psychology, or related field) and 2–4 years of experience in employee relations, organizational development, or another HR function; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internal experience with the company is strongly preferred.
Required Computer and / or Technical Skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Google Suite, and the ability to navigate HRIS / HRCM systems.
