The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will be working between the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) in Chicopee, MA and the Holyoke Appleton Clinic. This is a unique and exciting position for a medical assistant who wants to make a positive impact to the population served.

Your role as a Medical Assistant :

• The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the client's Behavioral / Mental Health team.
• You will have the ability to use an electronic medical record for chart review and telehealth appointments.
• Develop supportive relationships with clients.
• Interact with clients in order to assess needs, obtain vital signs, complete PAs.
• Coordination of medical and psychiatric care with clients' support network (e.g. family members, other service providers).
• Active collaboration with other agencies to coordinate client treatment.
• Liaison with local pharmacies to fill prescriptions for clients' medications.
• Prepare lab requests and obtain results.
