Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Deputy Chief Engineering Manager in our Propulsion Systems Business Unit at Promontory and Bacchus, Utah.
Role Description & Responsibilities :
The Deputy Chief Engineering Manager will be responsible for management of the Deputy Chief Engineers over Defense and Commercial Programs. The locations of the Deputy Chief Engineers are at the following Utah sites : Promontory, Clearfield, HAFB, and Magna campuses. Emphasis is in communication and coordination with each of the Programs' Chief Engineers and overall personnel management for the Deputy Chief Engineers. This role will report to the Chief Engineering Director.
Experience Requirements :
BS in Engineering or related field with 12 years experience, or Masters Degree or related field with 10 years experience, PhD in Engineering or related field with 8 years experience. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years in solid rocket motor design and manufacture experience. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of formal or informal supervisory / management / team management / leadership experience. Ability to travel : Travel expectation of 10%+. Strong understanding of solid rocket motor system design, development, and manufacture. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the time of application.
Primary Level Salary Range : $0.00 - $0.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
