POSITION : Building Envelope / Cladding Estimator LOCATION : Holly Springs / Canton GA
COMPANY OVERVIEW : Our client is a leading building envelope contractor specializing in commercial exterior systems. They're seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and drive growth through accurate estimating and pre-construction services.
POSITION SUMMARY : The Building Envelope / Cladding Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial projects, specializing in various exterior systems including stucco, EIFS, plaster, fiber cement panels, and exterior restoration work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for building envelope systems
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Develop accurate material, labor, and equipment costs
- Specialize in estimating for :
- Stucco systems
- EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish System)
- Plaster applications
- Fiber cement panel systems
- Backer rod and caulking
- Exterior restoration projects
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits
- Assist in value engineering and alternative system recommendations
- Support project handoff to operations team
- Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
5+ years of estimating experience in building envelope systemsStrong knowledge of stucco, EIFS, and related systemsProficiency in On-Center (OST, Quickbid) takeoff and estimating softwareExperience with blueprint reading and specification analysisStrong mathematical and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong communication and presentation abilitiesProficient in MS Office SuitePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar softwareEIFS manufacturer certificationsKnowledge of building codes and industry standardsExperience with historical restoration projectsHAAG certification a plusTECHNICAL SKILLS :
Proficient in digital takeoff softwareExperience with construction estimating programsUnderstanding of construction scheduling softwareKnowledge of project management platformsBENEFITS :
