Strategic Sourcing Lead
The Strategic Sourcing Lead is a key leadership role within KCNSC's Integrated Supply Chain. This role manages the overall strategic direction associated within the assigned commodities. It is responsible for proactively developing sourcing, acquisition, and supply chain strategies that are aligned with business and program needs and then driving execution of those strategies while ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are exceeding expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies for commodity groupings that have a complexity rating of 50-75% and a combined annual spend of up to $50 million.
- Supports the development and execution of commodity groupings that have a complexity rating of over 75% and a combined annual spend above $50 million.
- Focuses on future internal requirements, supplier technology road maps, capabilities, capacities, used to support decisions on supplier selection and make vs. buy.
- Manages supplier relationships and drives internal commodity alignment and direction across all internal programs.
- Drives the strategic direction for improving supplier health scores while proactively monitoring commodity risk assessments.
- Implements corrective action to reduce commodity risk.
- Formulates strategy to action items with a detailed execution plan complete with timelines and expected results.
- Aligns commodity strategies with business growth initiatives and new product introductions while offering input and recommendations into make vs. buy decisions.
You Must Have :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited programMinimum of 7 years of applicable professional experience in a manufacturing environmentUnited States CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the businessAbility to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the businessRegular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this jobWe Value :
7+ years of applicable professional experience in a manufacturing, sourcing or purchasing environment is a plus.Advanced degree, ISM, CPSM certification, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.Experience in developing and implementing program or commodity strategies.Experience in managing commodities with high mix, low volume mechanical or electrical components.Knowledge of government contracting requirements including a working understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. (FAR)Compensation Data : $110,400-172,500
