Location and work arrangement
The position will be based in Tempe, AZ, on-site 4 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Investor / Insurer timeline requirements for additional recovery review
- Assist in training team members on the claims process and procedures
- Review department performance; assist with regular department meetings
- Adhere to FHA, VA, PMI, investor, insurer and master servicer guidelines, rules and regulations, as well as local / federal laws
- Manage conveyances and claims; analyze loans for final reconciliation; oversee filing of supplemental claims
- Manage and monitor vendor performance; make recommendations for changes as needed; monitor vendor payments timely
- Identify opportunities for cost and risk reduction, efficiency gains, and enhanced levels of service
- Analyze trends in team work product to identify and implement process improvements
- Perform ongoing monitoring of key indicators to detect and research unexplained variances indicative of quality control issues
- Interpret regulatory requirements and investor guidelines to identify opportunities; track and report results
- Develop best practices to resolve deficiencies and meet regulatory compliance
- Stay current on policy and regulatory changes to maintain subject matter expertise
- Assist with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, accountability, and timelines for quality control issues in collaboration with senior leadership and business control management
- Create reporting strategies to support management; track department activity for government portfolio; provide daily / monthly reporting to management and clients
- Collaborate with Risk Management to provide required data for analysis
- Develop and maintain quality procedures for government portfolio documentation
- Assist the team by filing Claims when necessary
- Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance and ethical standards; escalate and report control issues; supervise others as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience5 years related mortgage banking experience, quality assurance / control, auditing or other relevant experience3+ years knowledge of Investor / Insurer default servicing guidelines (preferred)Knowledge of risk management practices for mortgage servicing and internal controlsAttention to detail in reviewing processes, reports, or documentsAbility to interpret rules and guidelines for decision-makingExperience with issue resolution and group facilitationFunctional understanding of loan servicing, including government-sponsored entity servicing requirementsStrong analytical skillsSelf-motivated with ability to work under deadlines without direct supervisionAbility to work effectively without close supervisionMeticulous attention to detail and a delivery-focused mindsetExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills for all levels, including senior managementTotal Rewards

Pay Range Details
$64,066.00 - $99,943.00 Annually. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This range represents the reasonable minimum and maximum salary the company expects to pay for this position.
