A respected academic health system in New York State is looking to add a Cytotechnician to its pathology team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful diagnostic work and grow your skills in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and process cytologic specimens for diagnostic evaluation

Accurately document test results and perform quality control procedures

Operate lab information systems to enter and verify specimen data and patient demographics

Assist with specimen staining and slide preparation under licensed supervision

Follow all lab protocols and maintain specimen integrity

Support training of students, residents, and new staff

Maintain lab equipment and adhere to safety and compliance standards

Qualifications :

Completed education and training in Cytotechnology or a related field

Eligible to work under the supervision of a NYSED-licensed laboratory supervisor

Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility in lab prep techniques

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Previous clinical cytology experience is a plus
