NEW Permanent Cytotechnologist Opening

Location :  Albany, NY Area

Salary Range : $65k – $100k (based on experience and qualifications)

A well-established pathology department is seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join its Cytopathology unit. This is a great opportunity for professionals who thrive in a diagnostic lab setting and are passionate about making a difference in patient care.

IMPORTANT : You must hold a valid ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification and a New York State license to be considered.

What You'll Do :

Analyze cytology specimens to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of disease

Accurately report test results and maintain proper documentation and quality control

Prepare and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic samples

Enter and verify patient demographics and specimen information

Use laboratory information systems and contribute to lab maintenance and QA procedures

Collaborate with supervisors and medical staff to meet diagnostic performance guidelines

Assist in training new staff, residents, and students as needed

What You Bring :

ASCP (CT) certification — required

NYS Cytotechnologist license — required

Strong attention to detail, excellent documentation skills

Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
