The Eagles Nest Program
The Eagles Nest Program is designed to support at-risk students ages 1825 in adapting to a professional workplace environment and becoming valuable contributors to their employers. Participants will complete four weeks of intensive training before transitioning to full-time employment at UPMC Hamot.
This is a temporary, 30-day position through UPMC WorkSource. The program includes rotations across multiple departments, such as Nursing, Transport, and Environmental Services within UPMC Hamot. Upon successful completion, participants may be considered for full-time employment through UPMC's internal Talent Acquisition transfer process.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tasks in various hospital departments, including but not limited to Nursing, Transport, and Environmental Services, under the supervision of department managers or supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members and provide assistance with day-to-day operational tasks.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.Successful completion of the Bishop Brock orientation program.Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of staff.Ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks under the guidance of senior staff.
