GHJ Search & Staffing is partnering with our client, a well-established organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with proven experience in real estate investment, development, and construction.

Our client manages a diverse nine-figure portfolio spanning multifamily, office, luxury single-family development, private equity, and alternative investments.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on, strategic CFO to lead the finance function of a prestigious real estate and construction group with a track record of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with ownership and executive leadership to drive long-term financial strategy and growth initiatives.
• Lead capital planning, treasury management, and cash flow optimization across multiple entities.
• Oversee financing, banking, and lender relationships, including debt covenants and construction financing.
• Support decision-making for new developments, acquisitions, dispositions, and 1031 exchanges.
• Provide financial modeling and investment analysis (IRR, cash-on-cash, ROI) for real estate and private equity investments.
• Advise on risk management, tax strategies, and entity structures (LLCs, Trusts, S Corps, etc.).
• Lead the accounting and finance team; oversee the Controller and staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Manage multi-entity consolidations and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
• Present financial results and forecasts to ownership and Board-level stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, compliance, and financial policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
• Oversee construction project financial management, including cost controls, job costing, and loan draws.
• Manage pay application processes (AIA 702 / 703) and reporting packages for active projects.
• Review third-party property management reporting and provide oversight on asset performance.
• Support business strategy and resource allocation for ongoing and future developments.
