I. General Job Description

This position will be responsible for planning, designing, and conducting audits and reviews to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Leads audits and applies knowledge of accounting principles and audit standards to audit initiatives.
  • Lead staff auditor assignments and coordinate audit processes.
  • Organize and present meaningfully detailed reports to communicate the results of an audit to company management with the supervisor of your senior on projects and complete work as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Assist with activities related to internal controls (Scoping, Design, Documentation, and testing of Operating Effectiveness).
  • Partnering with the senior management team, develops and refines the overall audit approach and develops the annual audit plan and the comprehensive, long-range schedule of audit coverage.
  • Review data about material assets, liabilities, surplus, income, and expenditures.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills.

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Previous Heavy-Duty Diesel industry experience.
  • Previous experience with internal control concepts.

  • Comprehension : Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Organization : Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making : Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department's credibility, operations, and services.
  • Communication : Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.
  • Mathematics : Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
