Intervention Specialist - Junior or high school

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to work with middle school and high school students near Columbus,Ohio.

The successful candidate will provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to the resources and accommodations necessary to succeed academically and socially.

This role involves case management responsibilities, collaboration with teachers and parents, and implementation of evidence-based interventions to support student growth and achievement.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in academic and behavioral areas, both in individual and small group settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and implement accommodations to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding student progress, goals, and support services
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student needs, progress, and interventions
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student services and progress

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist licensure / certification
• Experience working with middle school or high school students with diverse learning needs
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices in intervention and support services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt instruction and intervention strategies based on individual student needs
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
