Description :
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse.
This position can be filled by either an RN or LPN.
The schedule is flexible with options for 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM.
Work hours will be eight hours Monday through Friday, with varied weekends as needed.
The role includes responsibilities in quality assurance, staff education, and infection prevention.
This position involves implementing policies and procedures related to quality assurance.
Compliance will be monitored using nursing home regulations, facility practices, and evidence-based practices.
Gathering and analyzing data is essential through audits, interviews, and various activities.
You will review monthly reports and develop performance improvement plans where needed.
Regular reporting on the status of facility compliance with established quality assurance goals is required.
Assisting supervisors and managers in corrective action plan development is part of the role.
Monitoring and reporting on deficiency corrections identified by agencies is necessary.
Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and other regulations is critical.
Investigating incidents of non-compliance will be part of your responsibilities.
Collaboration with administration to investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and mistreatment is expected.
You will coordinate the facility's preparation for surveys.
Chairing and coordinating internal Quality Assurance Committee meetings and Infection Control Committee meetings is required.
Identifying training needs and developing educational programs for staff related to quality assurance is essential.
You will evaluate the quality of training to ensure that staff meets desired outcomes.
Maintaining detailed records of training and compliance is necessary.
Coordinating information provision for regulatory surveyors will be part of your duties.
Monitoring infections using established criteria will help maintain timely tracking and trending.
Daily rounds will be conducted to confirm compliance with care plans for residents with infections.
You are expected to stay informed about current information and attend educational opportunities.
Knowledge of management principles, facility programs, quality assurance methods, and relevant regulations is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are required.
The ability to analyze and interpret information while working with all organizational levels is crucial.
Developing and coordinating training programs for staff is a key responsibility.
