Lead Enterprise Cloud Architect

This is an Indianapolis-based IT consultancy building new cloud-native applications and modernizing complex legacy applications. They were originally founded in 2000 as an IBM reseller. In 2014 they started focusing on consulting across a variety of technology tools in application development, maintenance and expansion. In recent years they have focused on a ‘Cloud All-In' approach.

Your role with the Company:

Lead Enterprise Cloud Architect will be responsible for management oversight of cloud architecture and infrastructure resources as well as participation in the delivery of cloud tenant implementation projects. You will be managing and growing your team, collaborating and planning with clients, and designing the architecture for client applications.

• Technical Leadership – Leading a team of 3-4. Make sure your team is recognized, rewarded, growing.
• Business Leadership – Consult on hiring, budgets, marketing and growth strategies. Planning and advising.
• Technical Development – Own your Domain across client projects. Contribute and oversee new design and maintenance activities. Set up new Data Centers, Plan Migration Strategies, Build out Cloud Tenants, etc.
• Represent the Company – Meet with clients, drive the delivery, build relationships

Team Information:

This is a growing company working to establish their first layer of management. There are growth opportunities for the future, as the goal is to grow the Practice Leads to Manager and Director level positions. There will be three Practice Lead peers for this position, over the Domains of Architecture, DevOps, and Application Development. The team reporting to you will have one Domain Architect and 2 Developers.

Background Profile:

• Engineer/Architect level experience in software development
• Some project leadership, hungry to LEAD!
• Senior Developer/Architect experience designing and documenting cloud architecture
• Superior Communication Skills
• Consulting Experience is a plus
• Key AWS and Azure services: Compute, Storage, Network, IAM, etc.
