Payroll Specialist
SCOPE OF POSITION :
Assist in the maintenance of Human Resources / Payroll information system; aides in coordinating and implementing Human Resource / Payroll system changes. Acts as a resource within the department regarding Human Resource / Payroll information service capabilities. Interfaces directly with hospital management and employee personnel. Reports to the Manager of Human Resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of employee payroll.
- Responsible for maintenance of various information systems as defined within the department.
- Interact collaboratively with Information Services Department for support and maintenance to the API, Oracle and ADP
- Participates in activities related to system including revising, updating and identifying system changes
- Run pre and post payroll processes handling issues as they arise
- Responsible for ensuring mandated filings are accurate and completed on time
- Prepare biweekly check requests for department invoices and payroll deductions
- Process miscellaneous forms and requests including but not limited to tax forms, mortgage verifications, third party disability, etc
- Cobra payments : correlate, enter into spread sheet and enterprise system, track and balance quarterly and year to date
- Unclaimed property : research outstanding checks, send letters, keep spread sheet, request replacement checks or supply information to turn over to State
- Maintain spread sheets, enter data into Enterprise system for 1199 third party-balance for year end
- Prepare G / N loan repayments for signatures and process through payroll system
- Act as liaison with ADP as their primary contact for payroll issues
- Support other data entry activity as required
- Exhibits superior customer service and ensures customer requests are met in a timely fashion
- Main contact and supplier of information for audits
- Perform all other duties as assigned
