We are seeking an experienced and passionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic medical team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional dental care to our valued patients and contribute to our mission of promoting oral health.
The successful candidate will be a key player in our dental team, responsible for performing professional dental cleanings, providing preventive dental care, and educating patients on oral hygiene.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive oral hygiene care including dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, sealant application, and fluoride application.
- Conduct dental charting as part of the patient's health records.
- Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal health assessments.
- Educate and counsel patients on dental health, plaque control, oral hygiene, and nutrition.
- Work closely with dentists and assist in dental procedures.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and standards to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in dental hygiene.
- Participate in community health projects to promote oral health.
- Keep accurate records of treatments, diseases, and deviations from the normal oral status.
- Use intraoral cameras and digital x-rays to help diagnose the dental conditions.
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
- Associate degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current state license to practice dental hygiene.
- Proficiency in dental charting and teeth cleaning.
- Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures.
- Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to make patients feel comfortable during their visit.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Must possess a strong commitment to patient care and the promotion of good oral health.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to assist colleagues in a busy practice environment.
- Proficiency in using dental software for record keeping and appointment scheduling.
