Job Summary :

A Civil Engineer plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of various infrastructure and construction projects.

They are responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and sustainable development of our built environment. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of construction principles.

You Have :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineering registration or on the path to registration preferred
• Design and construction document development in the area of site development
• Experience in all aspects of site design including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, storm water management, and erosion and sedimentation control.
• Familiarity with current codes, design guidelines, and storm water management practices
• Familiarity with the construction administration process (RFI’s, submittals, and punch lists)
• Work with clients and team members on all aspects of a project schematic design through construction administration.
• The ability to self-direct, multi-task and manage support staff
• Strong visual and verbal communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred with experience in Microsoft Office

You Will :

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and budget. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
• Create detailed design plans, blueprints, and specifications for various civil engineering projects, such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water supply systems.

Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to simulate and analyze project designs.

• Ensure all projects adhere to relevant local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Oversee the construction phase of projects, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications. Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to verify that construction work meets established standards and specifications.
• Manage project budgets and resources efficiently, striving to meet financial goals and deadlines.
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety of the project, workers, and the public.
• Work closely with a diverse team of professionals, including architects, surveyors, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure project success.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, including design documents, reports, and progress updates.
• Promote environmentally friendly and sustainable engineering practices to minimize the environmental impact of projects.
