The requested Administrative Staff Specialists will assist in the implementation of the DHS drug testing program, review and evaluate criminal history record information (CHRI), review and assess documents relating to CHRI, prepare and disseminate notification and documents citing statutory requirements relating to CHRI finding for applicants, and in the implementation and tracking of the child abuse registry information (CARI) checks. The Administrative Staff Specialist will coordinate the data entry from various unit specific tracking systems currently into the unit's new data system ECCS. The implementation of ECCS requires the entry of hundreds of thousands of records into the new system and ongoing data entry of new records processed by the unit.
The Administrative Staff Specialist will review databases to ensure compliance with established statutes, field calls, respond to general inquiries and provide customer service to stakeholders. The Administrative Staff specialist will also assist the DHS Office of Licensing to prepare compliance reports in advance of agency inspections reporting those agency employees who were fingerprinted, those who have been disqualified, CARI checks completed, drug tests completed, random drug tests completed, archives requested and Central Registry compliance.
