Product Manager, Risk Adjustment Coding Data Integration

Datavant is a data platform company and the world's leader in health data exchange. Our vision is that every healthcare decision is powered by the right data, at the right time, in the right format. Our platform is powered by the largest, most diverse health data network in the U.S., enabling data to be secure, accessible and usable to inform better health decisions. Datavant is trusted by the world's leading life sciences companies, government agencies, and those who deliver and pay for care. By joining Datavant today, you're stepping onto a high-performing, values-driven team. Together, we're rising to the challenge of tackling some of healthcare's most complex problems with technology-forward solutions. Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare.

As a Product Manager, Risk Adjustment Coding Data Integration, you will own the data strategy and execution for Datavant's Retrospective Risk Adjustment Coding products, driving client data standardization, data integrations, database management, and optimization within business verticals for downstream use. You will help standardize data specifications, further Datavant's ability to ingest different data types and streamline the process to ingest both structured and unstructured data. You will also support scalable, reliable, and performant project data ingestion pipelines and maintain databases that support specific product services, while providing end to end visibility into these pipelines and databases. The ideal candidate combines deep healthcare data expertise with strong product management skills, and thrives at the intersection of product, data integration, engineering, and operations.

  • Manage data ingestion for projects where we receive data directly from clients (i.e., code-only projects)
  • Data Optimization

  • Optimize structured data ingestion pipelines and automate data pipelines for performance, reducing latency and improving speed
  • Convert ingested data into a format supported by Datavant's Common Document Repository (CDR)
  • Infrastructure Standards, Visibility & Compliance

  • Work with infrastructure limits to promote scalability (project size limits, chart size limits, prediction count limits)
  • Enable end-to-end visibility into data pipelines, providing the ability to proactively intervene and provide traceability
  • Maintain databases / data stores that support specific product services and provide visibility into these databases
  • Ensure scalability, performance and reliability
  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Datavant's Retrieval and Client Success team to address diverse client needs
  • Drive adoption of data specifications to improve the client experience
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timeliness of feature delivery and roadmap execution
  • Reduction in time taken to create and operationalise coding projects
  • Maintenance of compliance with infrastructure limits and no security incidents

  • Number of support issues or custom requests related to data issues
  • Data Standards

  • Integration of new data types
  • Data accuracy (upstream validation of data quality)
  • Database uptime / availability
  • Optimized query response time (i.e. average time taken to execute database queries)
  • Reduction in records with errors
  • About You

Experience : 5+ years in product management or data product roles, ideally within healthcare. Must possess strong knowledge of product development practices and SDLC

Domain Expertise : Well-versed in the key underlying healthcare data sources that support risk adjustment coding, including standards such as HL7, FHIR, CMS files, etc.
