GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Paralegal is responsible for providing comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys within the Construction Practice Group. This position is integral to the management of cases involving construction defect claims, personal injury defense, general contractor liability, and workers' compensation matters. The role demands proficiency in discovery coordination, meticulous organization of extensive digital documentation, and consistent maintenance of case files to ensure accuracy and accessibility throughout the litigation process.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support attorneys with case management from inception through trial.
- Prepare and manage discovery materials (interrogatories, document requests, subpoenas, responses).
- Review and summarize contracts, expert reports, project files, and other case documents.
- Oversee digital document production and maintain organized, compliant case files with proper version control and electronic filing.
- Monitor and meet pre-trial deadlines, including disclosures, discovery cutoffs, and motions.
- Assist in preparing exhibit and witness lists, trial binders, and hearing materials.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel on discovery and document matters.
- Support associates in managing data retention systems, ensuring secure handling of sensitive information.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection policies.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and perform other related duties as assigned.

3+ years in construction defect or general liability preferredAssociate or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field; Paralegal Certificationpreferred.
