Austin, TX is hiring LVNs! This is a Psych / Behavioral Health facility working with patients with intellectual disabilities.
Duties : Passing meds, assessments, charting, LTC
Need : Psych LPN / LVN with minimum 1 year experience
Must have no past misdemeanors or past discipline on license
Length of Contract : 26 weeks
Pay : $35 / HR
Shifts : 3p-11p, both working every other weekend.
Weekend doubles : Sat / Sun 8s or 16s also available. May work another 8 hr shift during week for 40 hrs, but not required.
Does not have 12 hour shifts.
Job Duties :
- Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection .
- Documents and reports pertinent observations
- Communicates orally and in writing to other team members’ pertinent information. Documents according to facility policy.
- Manages individual’s medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart.
- Assists other staff in turning / repositioning individuals to administer treatments
Job Requirements for all candidates :
- Must be licensed LVN and able to practice in Texas
- Preferably 1+ year experience
- Experience needs to be hospital acute care, LTC, community clinics, public health, etc. (not Home Health or School Nurse)
