Immediate need for a talented Senior Paralegal . This is a 02+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Plantation, FL (Onsite)

Pay Range : $25 - $27 / hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities
- Hours : 8 hrs. per day || 40 hrs. per week
- Provide broad-based legal support to attorneys and counsel, including legal research, drafting of legal and business communications, and internal systems support and maintenance.
- Conduct legal research and analyze data from multiple sources (online references, digests, practice manuals, etc.).
- Research statutes, regulations and court decisions.
- Prepare digests summaries and recommendations for legal questions.
- Prepare internal memos to team members and internal clients.
- Draft contracts, patent applications, resolutions and other legal documents for attorney review.
- Draft moderately complex deposition outlines / questions, motions, pleadings, subpoenas, orders and briefs for attorney review.
- Analyze and evaluate records and data for discovery; draft recommendations and correspondence to clients, claims attorneys, and customers regarding discovery and legal matters.
- Develop and maintain internal information databases.
- Conduct and evaluate open and closed paralegal file audits; inform attorneys and management of audit results and make improvement recommendations.
- Apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the field of specialization.
- Maintain currency in business unit and legal professional competencies.
- May support litigation via collection of information for interrogatories and response to requests for documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience
Five years of experience as a ParalegalPersonal Injury Protection (PIP) knowledgeKnowledge of paralegal concepts, procedures and practicesUndergraduate studies in business administration, insurance or related area preferredCertification in paralegal studies preferredTypically five or more years in a paralegal role with proven performanceIn-depth knowledge of paralegal concepts, procedures and practicesExperience with operations, practices and procedures of general counsel or civil litigationKnowledge of filing requirements of relevant courts and administrative agenciesDemonstrated knowledge in legal research, complex deposition motions, and appellate proceduresStrong analytical, research and organizational skillsAbility to set work priorities and work with minimal supervisionAbility to give presentations in formal and informal settingsAbility to design and maintain filing systemsStrong verbal and written communication with associates, attorneys, clients and customers; proficiency with PC and legal / business software and databasesExperience with Personal Injury Protection (PIP) preferredCredit check : a valid credit check and / or background check required as part of the selection processOur client is a leading Financial Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
