Construction Manager

Our client an innovativegrowing and trusted engineering and architectural consulting firmis seeking a Construction Manager witha minimum of 10 years experience in either construction managementor engineering to join their team.

This is a hybrid / remote fulltime position located in Columbus OH.

TheConstruction Manager should have experience in site developmentgeneral trades plumbing HVAC electrical and roofing. In additionyou must be able to read and understandblueprints.

What you will bedoing

• Servesas Construction Project Manager on public works or architecturalprojects.
• Prepare project engineering budgets.Responsible for monitoring status throughoutconstruction.
• Perform project billing asdirected.
• Provide daily supervision of allassigned field staff.
• Review shop drawings andsubmittals.
• Coordinate technical review withdesign engineers and assist asrequired.
• Evaluate the work being done on adaily basis.
• Responsible for allcommunication / correspondence between all controlling agenciesclients engineers and contractors.
• Schedule andrun preconstruction and job meetings preparing meeting minutes asrequired and distribute to allparties.
• Evaluate Contractor issues relative tointerpretation of plans and specifications and coordinate theefforts to resolve the matters with Project Manager City Engineeror Department Manager.
• Recommend acceptance orrejection of work (in whole or in part) due to compliance ornoncompliance with the plans andspecifications.
• Provide review and processingof Owner / Contractors design changerequests.
• Analyze extra work costs to assure afair and reasonable price and if needed negotiate with contractoras needed.

Whatqualifications do youneed

• Bachelors orassociate degree in Civil Engineering Civil Engineering TechnologyConstruction Engineering or Construction.
• 10years experience in construction or contracting.
• PE License.
• Demonstratedproject management and business development.
• Demonstrated experience in site developmentgeneral trades plumbing HVAC electrical roofing.
• Project budget management.
• Knowledge of construction inspection andtesting.
• Must have a valid drivers license andregistered insuredvehicle.
