Crane Operator (NCCER / NCCCO Certified) - Decatur, AL

Turner Industries Group is looking for NCCER or NCCCO certified Crane Operator for full-time maintenance work in the Decatur, AL area. Crane operator will be responsible for operation of various power driven and hydraulic machinery which are used to move materials. Responsibilities include providing crane lifting and rigging support in addition to equipment preventative maintenance and inspection.

NCCER or NCCCO certification required. Must be able to pass drug test and background check. Must have valid Driver's license. Must have current physical. Benefits include : Medical / Dental / 401K / Vacation & Holiday. Per diem and relocation are not available for this position.

Job Requirements :

• Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects; may be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surfaces; may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines / equipment
• Qualification Standards : High school or equivalent. Preferably one (1) to two (2) years of experience in specified skill. Pre-employment qualification test if applicable. Post-offer drug / alcohol screen and physical evaluation. Hazard Communication orientation / test. Turner Industries Group LLC Indoctrination. OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87). Job site orientation. Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.).
