What To Expect
The Quality Engineering team is a high impact, high priority, and high visibility team focused on safety-critical issues. Within Tesla's Quality Cell Engineering organization, you will have access to data across design and manufacturing, enabling you to design, create, and deploy innovative risk mitigations and issues into production globally with tangible physical impacts. This role emphasizes implementing state-of-the-art monitoring systems to enhance availability, latency, and system health worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Curate, evaluate, and enforce PFMEA / Control Plan best practices.
- Refine and enforce incident management response procedures.
- Review, monitor, and resolve system vulnerabilities, including driving issue resolution and 8D metrics.
- Perform data analysis to predict and prevent failures.
- Plan performance evaluation tests to identify production and safety risks.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop proactive maintenance strategies that improve asset reliability.
- Work with Project Engineers to ensure the maintainability and reliability of new and modified equipment.
What You'll Bring
Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional ability.5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.Strong attention to detail and foresight to anticipate risks.Ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.Proficiency in SQL and data querying.Knowledge of statistical, mathematical, and engineering concepts, with experience using Minitab and / or JMP.Experience applying statistical and probability methods and tools.Understanding of engineering concepts such as lifecycle asset management, risk management, configuration management, and loss elimination.Benefits
