The Safety Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring organizational adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and other applicable federal, state, and local safety standards. This role coordinates, implements, and monitors safety programs, conducts training, and supports ongoing risk management initiatives to foster a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for safety compliance matters and regulatory agencies.
Lead incident investigations, track corrective actions, and prepare detailed reports.
Organize and facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and workshops for staff.
Maintain accurate documentation of safety activities, training records, and compliance certifications.
Monitor changes in safety regulations and update company policies as necessary.
Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Respond promptly to safety concerns and provide guidance to employees on safe work practices.
Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
Qualifications :
Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 2 years of experience in a safety compliance, risk management, or related role.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Professional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST) are advantageous.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
