About the Role :
At Salem’s Fresh Eats , we believe great food starts with great leadership. As an Assistant Manager , you’ll partner with the General Manager to help lead daily operations, ensure smooth service, and create unforgettable guest experiences.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll inspire your team, maintain high standards for quality and hospitality, and help drive results across both the front and back of the house. You’ll play a key part in building a positive culture and developing team members to reach their full potential - while preparing yourself for future growth into a General Manager role.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Development :
- Support the General Manager in overseeing all restaurant operations (FOH and BOH).
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture built on teamwork, accountability, and respect.
- Provide coaching and feedback to help team members grow and succeed.
Operations & Guest Service :
Manage daily shift operations to ensure great food, fast service, and guest satisfaction.Handle customer concerns quickly and professionally.Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organization meet company and health department standards.Support scheduling, staffing, and coverage during busy shifts.Financial & Administrative Support :
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and accurate recordkeeping.Help track sales, labor, and other expenses to maintain profitability.Follow all cash-handling and company operational procedures with integrity.Community & Brand Engagement :
Represent Salem’s Fresh Eats with pride and professionalism.Support local marketing, community events, and brand initiatives that drive guest loyalty.What You Bring :
Minimum 3 years of restaurant or food service leadership experience.Drive-thru or fast-casual experience strongly preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.High school diploma or equivalent required; ServeSafe certification preferred.Perks & Benefits :
