POSITION OVERVIEW
The Billing Analyst is responsible for collecting, posting, and managing billing paperwork to ensure accurate and timely accounting and submittal to customer.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and understands customer contracts to assure billing and job accounting are in compliance.
- Processes incoming field reports weekly, researches and resolves issues and discrepancies, and verifies proper job cost coding of revenue, payroll, and other expense.
- Prices and verifies accuracy of all billings before posting in accounting software and routing to customer for approvals.
- Processes customer receipts and monitors AR aging balances.
- Provides weekly reporting to field supervisors and management team.
- Understands and executes account reconciliations.
- Communicates directly with customers, field supervisors, and foreman.
- Assists with other accounting functions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Associate's degree in accounting / relevant field required. Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a billing, payables, or similar accounting role.Construction accounting experience preferred.Ability to work successfully in a deadline-drive environment with frequent interruptions.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.Viewpoint of similar software experience preferred.Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.Role is full-time, on-site in Waunakee, WI office
