Job descriptionGraduate of an accredited Engineering college curriculum (minimum four-year degree). Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (with a structural focus). At least six (6) years of design management and / or design experience , specifically in structural engineering for multidisciplined projects. Professional License : U.S. Professional Engineering (P.E.) Registration in the discipline (preferred, but not required). Broad-based engineering principles and strong technical knowledge in structural design. Demonstrated experience in : Structural analysis and design of vertical and lateral force-resisting systems , retaining structures, utility structures, or waterfront structures (e.g., piers, wharves). Using DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) or industry codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC) and ASCE 7 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures . Designing structural elements with materials such as concrete, steel, and masonry . Proficiency in AutoCAD and / or Revit for structural design and layout. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Experience preparing correspondence, detailed reports, and briefing management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Adaptable to new software like eCMS, MS Teams, Zoom, and others.
