A firm whose managing partners spun off from a large notable law firm in San Diego are seeking an Associate Attorney to join their boutique litigation firm based in San Diego, California.
The firm specializes in transportation law, catastrophic injury cases, dental malpractice, and complex personal injury defense. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and be mentored by partners who actually want to invest in their associates.
Responsibilities :
- Manage a comprehensive caseload that includes both pre-litigation and active litigation files.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery motions, dispositive motions, and trial preparation materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to prepare for depositions, negotiations, and client meetings, providing strategic insights.
- Negotiate effectively with opposing counsel and other parties to resolve disputes and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress and strategies.
- Prepare cases for trial, ensuring all necessary documents and strategies are in place.
- Meet billable hour requirements of 1850 annually, with opportunities to exceed expectations and bonus off that!
Pay is contingent upon experience with the duties above.

2-8 years of civil litigation experience here in CA. This is a must-have (they are getting plenty of junior people on their own and already have senior level attorneys).Stability on resume.
