Albany Medical College is seeking a strong and
enthusiastic leader to serve as Chief of our Division of
Rheumatology . Albany Medical College is part of the Albany Med
Health System, which serves as the only academic health sciences
center and Level 1 trauma center in northeastern New York. As Chief
of the division, you will have the opportunity to lead our
innovative, experienced and highly respected Division and will
oversee all clinical, educational and research activities. The
Rheumatology division is made up of 27 providers and directs a
fellowship training program with unique faculty expertise in :
Arthritis Lupus Fibromyalgia Muscle pain Osteoporosis Scleroderma
As Chief , you will have the opportunity to : Oversee and manage
clinical operations and the education of medical students,
residents and fellows in a high demand rheumatology program.
Administer care to a diverse population of patients. Work
collaboratively with the Departments of Pathology and Radiology,
consolidating the key elements for solid training formation.
Promote a culture of engagement and respect within our team to
facilitate strong relationships across the organization and with
our patients. Qualifications include : MD or DO with board
certification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Interest or
experience in developing expertise in a clinical subspecialty
Experience or interest in leadership, education and program
development. Eligible for academic appointment at associate
professor or professor level Clinical research is highly desired
Compensation and Professional Development : Competitive compensation
package, including salary, comprehensive benefits, and retirement
options. Salary range (as required in New York State) :
$280,000-$300,000 Opportunities for professional development,
including leadership training, administrative and financial
