Founded in Tampa, Florida, i9 Sports® is the nation's first and largest youth sports league franchise business, serving families in more than 500 communities nationwide.
Since 2003, i9 Sports has been built on one simple belief: kids play sports because they love the game—not because every child is trying to become the next professional athlete.
We provide youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for children ages 3–17 in today's most popular sports, including flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and more.

Job Summary


Are you passionate about sports and enjoy working with kids? Join the i9 Sports team as a Youth Sports Coach & Official and help create unforgettable experiences for young athletes.
Our Coaches and Officials are more than just game managers—they are mentors, leaders, and role models who help create a fun, safe, and positive environment for every player, coach, and family.
This role plays a direct part in making each game day successful by encouraging sportsmanship, teaching skills, and ensuring every child has a great experience.

Responsibilities


  • Lead and support youth sports games while creating a fun and encouraging atmosphere
  • Learn and apply i9 Sports rules and guidelines to promote safe and fair competition
  • Teach and reinforce teamwork, sportsmanship, effort, and respect
  • Provide age-appropriate instruction and encouragement during games
  • Manage game timing, scoring, and basic field/court responsibilities
  • Communicate professionally and positively with players, coaches, parents, and staff
  • Help create an organized, welcoming, and memorable experience for every family

Qualifications


  • Positive attitude and passion for working with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous sports playing, coaching, or officiating experience preferred
  • Ability to lead, problem-solve, and take initiative
  • Dependable, responsible, and comfortable working independently
  • Ability to work weekend schedules throughout the season (approximately 7 weeks)
  • Must successfully complete a National Criminal Background Check
