Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you inspect facilities for potential hazards, ensuring a safe environment for all participants. In this dynamic position, you will also be responsible for promptly reporting any broken equipment to the appropriate supervisor, maintaining the integrity of our programs. Additionally, your customer-centric skills will shine as you answer telephone inquiries and provide valuable information regarding athletic and recreation programs, as well as registration details. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will contribute significantly to the overall success of our community initiatives.Are you the Recreation Aide we're looking for?To succeed as a Seasonal Recreation Aide with the City of Pharr, a strong understanding of safety hazards and essential precautions is vital to create a secure environment for all participants in recreation and athletic programs. Familiarity with the fundamentals and techniques of various sports, fitness, cultural, and arts activities will enable you to perform a diverse array of duties effectively. Possessing the ability to develop and administer engaging recreation and athletic programs tailored to the community's needs is key to fostering participation and enjoyment. Furthermore, strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you will need to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and community members alike.Your positive and energetic approach will contribute to a supportive atmosphere, making a significant impact on the overall success of our programs.Knowledge and skills required for the position are:Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a safe environment for recreation and athletic program participants.Knowledge of fundamentals and techniques of athletics fitness cultural/social activities and/or arts and crafts sufficient to be able to perform a variety of duties related to the work assignment.Ability to develop and administer recreation and athletic programs suited to the needs of the community.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the working environment and with those contacted in the course of work.Make your moveWe believe in taking care of our team, both on and off the job.
