We’re looking for Facilities professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska .

What You’ll Do

As a Facilities Tech 2 , you’ll play a key role in ensuring our facilities are safe, comfortable, and well-maintained.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Clean, check and adjust a variety of electrical equipment such as motors and fans.
• Connect wiring and replace bulbs.
• Maintain a variety of mechanical items.
• Prepare requisitions for purchase.
• Change air conditioners’ filters and clean fan coil as directed.
• Maintains buildings, performing minor and routine carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical. wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
• Cleans work areas and disposes of trash and debris.
• Performs tests and inspections of pool equipment and chemistry.

📌 Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

📌Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

📌 Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.  Employee must know what Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to use in appropriate environments and must direct others to use same.
