Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An established pounding mail order pharmacy requires an experienced Pharmacist Operations Manager to lead second-shift operations and ensure exceptional patient care. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to manage and mentor a dedicated team while optimizing pharmacy processes within a fast-paced, high-volume environment serving all 50 states.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations to maintain efficient workflows, accurate prescription processing, and high standards of patient service
- Lead, train, and manage pharmacists, technicians, and administrative staff to promote teamwork and productivity
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures to improve efficiency and regulatory pliance
- Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during second shift hours with some weekend requirements (2 PM10 PM or 4 PM12 AM)
- Ensure full pliance with federal, state, and local regulations including DEA and HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation as required by regulatory bodies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and patient outes
- Stay current with pharmaceutical industry trends, standards, and regulations
Qualifications :
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institutionActive Ohio pharmacist licensure35 years of leadership experience in pounding pharmacy settings, preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilitiesExpertise in pounding non-sterile formulations (capsules, creams, gels, ointments, lotions, pellets) and sterile preparations (eye medications, IV injections)Proficiency with pharmacy software systems; experience with PioneerRx is a plusStrong pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapy knowledgeExcellent interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to mentor and problem-solve effectivelymitment to patient safety and ethical pharmacy practicesBenefits include a petitive pay package, medical / dental / vision insurance options, retirement savings plans, paid time off (including holidays and sick days), and on-site perks like snacks and free generic and pounded medications.
