We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join our team in Vernon, California. In this role, you will handle critical financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling transactions, and assisting with month-end closings. You will collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations while supporting the Accounting Manager with audits and special projects.
Responsibilities :
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments in accordance with company policies.
- Manage accounts receivable by tracking customer payments and reconciling discrepancies.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end close activities.
- Support the Accounting Manager in audits and other key financial projects.
- Conduct detailed analysis to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Utilize accounting software and Excel for efficient tracking and reporting of financial data.
- Collaborate with vendors and customers to address inquiries related to payments and invoices.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for compliance purposes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on accounts payable and receivable.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset for identifying and resolving discrepancies effectively.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
