JOB SUMMARY

Title Examiner provides comprehensive title insurance coverage and professional services for purchases and refinances.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate multi-state title products.

Abstracting county records for residential properties in multiple states.

Examination of title to real property, ranging in complexity, to determine status and to establish chain on title

Performs title examination of easy and / or moderate title orders requiring a moderate level of expertise.

Review title search reports and their documentation in a timely and thorough manner

Verify that the information in the title search and accompanying documentation is accurate and complete so they can provide accurate title information

Resolve any issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information contained in the title documentation

Abstract and analyze deeds, deeds of trust / mortgages, easements, judgments, tax assessments, judgments, and other applicable instruments

Verifying ownership and encumbrances of real property

Preparing professional reports as required

Reviewing reports for accuracy

Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
